I currently use Clinque liquid foundation and I find it normally lasts throughout the day. You didn't say if you were setting your foundation with a light (loose) powder. If you aren't you should buy a loose powder which you lightly dust over your foundation, working outwards. Also try not to use your fingers when applying foundation. You should invest in a brush, but remember to clean it otherwise it will pick up bacteria. (a normal foundation brush or a skunk brush will work fine). Not applying the foundation propaly can lead to it becoming patchy, but also touching your face throughout the day will rub off foundation in certain spots. Also if you aren't using a powder to set your foundation, then it is bound it wear off very easily. Hope this helped a little.

If you are unsure on what to buy, you can get free makeup advice at the makeup counters and they will normally do your foundation for you, just remember don't be persauded to buy something you cannot afford or don't like.
Try the triangular shaped spongy applicators. They absorb any extra grease from the products.
Have you tried any products from MAC?

Please go to this page and pick a foundation that you think will work for you. I think that you should try the water based liquid foundation in your color, it has SPF 15 in it and it's not oily, it protects your skin and it really does last. I use it all the time!! Try it out, you can also play around w. the products if you visit a MAC store, they may be just a bit pricey but trust me it's worth it =]
I think your problem is that the stuff your buying is crap.. It probably comes off during the day and leaves you with what you have on your. Or you many be putting foundation over dry skin, which looks fine at first, but during the day gets flaky and gross. So check that.

I use Lancome Paris stuff, save up your money and youll end up paying somewhere between 20-75 dollars on REALLY good foundation.

hope that helps! :)
First you need too use a facial scrub to exforliate a couple times a week. This will even out and smooth you enire face.

After cleansing your face, always use a toner to close the pores back up or the make up get into the pores and can cause uneven skin and dry spots. Even if you have oily skin you still need the toner (just get one for oily skin.)

Next you apply a light coat of mositurizer and let it stay on your face a few minutes before applying your make up. Once the moisturizer has had time to soak in, then you can apply your make up.

It is always better to apply your make up with a sponge or make up applicator. It is difficult to put make up on with your fingers becaue it does not go on evenly and you have a tendency to put too much on.

After your make up, apply your eye shadow, pencil, blush or bronzer. It is much better to use a neutral shade of light loose powder. This will set the make up and help it stay on longer. If you have oily skin, you can apply a small amount of compact powder during the day to keep it fresh.

Then, be sure to cleanse you face at night and remove all the make up. Use the toner again to close up the pores. Then apply a night cream to keep your skin moist and soft. I am sure you have heard. Your face it like a canvas and before you put anything on it, it needs to be in good condition. Do this everyday for a month and remember to exfoliate twice a week for a month and you will notice a big change in the surface of your face. The skin will feel softer, and smoother any your make up should stay on all day.

It may sound like a lot of work but it really is not. It will become routine and you will have a beautifully smooth face. You may not even want to use make up. You can just use a loose powder and bronzer with some eye shadow and lip gloss. Try it and let me know!...lol :)
i dont like covergirl that much except for lashblast mascara. may b ur skin is oily, so skip the liquid and just use pressed powder and loose powder. my faves are:

clinique perfectly real compact makeup

clinique blended face powder

its high quality and worth the money. best evr!!!
you can try sponge to mak it more even. 1. you might b putting to much foundation is a couple spots without knowing it. 2. u might not b putting enough on.3. through out the day your face lets oils come out and it's making your make up go away. try getting a better foundation. i use clinique and it stays. or you could buy a pressed powder and use it during the day to keep the greasies from melting ur make up. hope this helps!
