Whats the best foundation, liquid or powder? And what brand is the best?
My face is so complicated like in some spots its dry and others oily, so whats the best foundation?Whats the best foundation, liquid or powder? And what brand is the best?
BARE ECSENTUALS OR SHEERCOVER THOSE ROCK they are kind off pricy like 20 30 dollars per box...u could go for the cheaper ones to worrks just as good bareminerals by loreal GOOES for $10.99 hope this helpedWhats the best foundation, liquid or powder? And what brand is the best?
Mary Kay, Bare minerals, or any other mineral power/foundation.I have oily and extremely sensitive skin but with those row products you cannot go wrong. I have had skin problems for years and since using these products I'm pleased. If you have a ULTA store in your area they sell these products but they are costly, but it is well worth it. For your dry areas us a good moisturizer from bare minerals at night it pretty good.
you need to get an exfoliator for your dry parts, but make up wise i DEF say liquid, i used powder for years, and had many problems with it. But since i switched to liquid its been amazing! And Makeup Forever is the BEST brand, i promise, i use their mat velvet, and then dust mineral veil (Bare minerals) Over it, and its p e r f e c t !
Don't use the ';sheer cover'; or ';bare minerals'; because those make your face look sparkly, if you want the best you will need to spend like 50 bucks at department stores. For a more economic 8 rating foundation head on over to Sally's Beauty and they have really good ones there.
I use both. Avon Perfect wear is really good. It is $11 at regular price. i use Cover Girl Clean powder. The combination works really well. I have dry skin and when i put the make up on, you can barely tell

Has anyone tried the new Maybelline LIQUID foundation?
Just saw it in Superdrug on offer, wondered if anyone had tried it yet, and could tell me the about the coverage etc?
Many thanks, Katkins xxxxxxxHas anyone tried the new Maybelline LIQUID foundation?
I have tried it but as I have oily skin, it makes my face look really shiny and brings out my spots.
However, my friend who has dry skin said it worked well on her, so I guess it depends on your skin type.
The coverage is great, easily spreads.Has anyone tried the new Maybelline LIQUID foundation?
Are you talking about the liquid mousse? I use that as well as the mineral power liquid one. Both are awesome. The liquid mousse, they market ,as something of an airbrush finish look...and it really does make your skin look even. It is a nice foundation, I love it! I also love the mineral power one and it is natural and glides on very easily and smoothly. I use this for everyday-ish but the other one, I would use for a little bit more than just everyday. I have tried the one w/ the waterbased formula in light blue tube. I used that for a long time and it was awesome. So overall, I JUST REALIZED that Maybelline Foundations are very good. I have tried others even expensive dept. store ones but Maybelline has been my favorite as far as Liquid foundation.
A liquid foundation is for a combination skin type if you use a wrong type of foundation it will give a poor results
yes, it broke me out, I would never use Maybelline ever Again well there foundations
is that the seamless one?
i've got it and it's awful! really obvious and the 'seamless' selling point is utter rubbish!
Yes..it tastes like sh*t !

Which is better - liquid foundation or mineral?
I use Maybelline liquid foundation but have nearly run out and was wondering if I should try mineral foundation.
Do you think liquid or mineral foundation is better? And if mineral's better, what brand do you recommend (not too expensive though)?
ThanksWhich is better - liquid foundation or mineral?
bare minerals is cheaper if you buy it on ebayWhich is better - liquid foundation or mineral?
It depends on your face
I have used both the mineral and liquid foundation from Maybelline, and for me Mineral works best. My skin tends to get very oily alot.
People who have more oily skin, shouls stay away from liquid! It'll make their skin worse, and it definantly wo't look food. Mineral is best for people with oily skin. %26amp; Visa vera for non-oily skin, use liquid.
Overall, liquid is better. Every makeup will clog pores a little, no matter if it says it does not do it. Liquid blends in much better for the skin, and foundation tends to sit on your face, and eventually throughout the day it comes off and become flaky. Liquid looks way more natural, too. But, it all depends on your skin type. Some people use both at once. Currently I am doing that. I am using the Mineral foundation from Maybelline first, I use a blush brush, NEVER use those pads that they give you with the makeup, it just picks up everything off your face everytime you use it and dead skin, and it gets dirty very easily. Get a blushbrush, it works much better. After I put on mineral foundation, I put a little put of the mousse foundation, I replace concealer over it, it looks nice and much more natural. Then I just use my hands to blend it in.. But not too much. You should never be covering your whole with foundation either. Only about 40%! The reason for this is because your foundation should be perfectly your shade, so no one can tell your wearing it.
I use the makeup companies Clinique, Estee Lauder %26amp; Maybelline. Sometimes Mac, stuff from Sephora and Bobbi Brown. You need to experiment with different brands and see which ones work better for you. I'v tried about 5 different mineral foundations, and Maybelline works best for me. And for liquid foundation, Estee Lauder %26amp; Clinique.
I use mineral and like it a lot better. Bare minerals might be considered expensive to some but it last a long time, especially their blush. But anyway, it doesn't sink into the pores like liquid mineral does and isn't as oily. It's better for your skin in so many ways. Also, it looks more natural and less like you painted your face.
Mineral is the more healthier option, and is more light and has a natural appearance. Just make sure you buy the right brand. I would recommend Chi Chi or Rimmell, however make sure not to get the Loreal Mineral Foundation, horrible. :)
mineral.
it looks so natural.
especially if you dont have bad skin.
bare minerals is just amazing.
and its not that spendy.
mostly the price is for the brushes.
but mineral for surre.
you'll look amazing.
Liquid foundation is a lot neater.
Mineral foundation is better for your skin.
So mineral.
Mineral
liquid's easier.
mineral spills everywhere but is better for your skin.
mineral :)
it's lighter, better for your skin, and you have more conrol of it when you apply on your face .
liquid...better coverage, looks less cakey %26amp; more air brushy...lol
i prefer mineral.
it costs a bit more, but you get way more use out of it.
and it looks really natural!

Is it true that if you add powder and water, you get liquid foundation?
I'm not sure who told me so?
And I just continue to use powder with a pad, is that alright? Is it true that if you add powder and water, you get liquid foundation?
I've never heard of that before. It sounds like it would ruin the foundation, though. I have however heard that mixing powder foundation with moisturizer makes a liquid foundation/tinted moisturizer. You might want to try that instead. :)Is it true that if you add powder and water, you get liquid foundation?
You could use a mineral foundation mixed with your face moisturizer to make a liquid foundation. I would just stick with your powder though, and I definitely recommend using a kabuki brush instead of a pad.
No, you just get watery powder.
Powder is made out of talc, a substance which baby powder is made out of. Baby powder+ water= not anything I would put on my face and expect to look good.
just use the powder with a pad, or better, a think brush.
u do..but liquid foundation
has other ingredients
so might ruin ur makeup and skin
and u mgiht not get coveragethis works

Who tried maybelliene mineral powder liquid foundation?
is it good
or is something better?Who tried maybelliene mineral powder liquid foundation?
Go to makeupalley.com, they have reviews for makeup products from people who've tried it. It really helps me with my makeup choices.
But I've heard that Maybelline's mineral products aren't the best.
Good luck!Who tried maybelliene mineral powder liquid foundation?
Ive got it and its good,
It can dry skin out so only use it if you have oily skin or you moisturize.
I find that is you want to go mineral, get a mineral foundation. I hate to spend alot on makeup, so i usually go for cheap products awell as expensive.
Ive got L'oreal and maybelline mineral powder foundations and they're just about the same and work really well. They're a good price and not as much as the other ones.
If you're in the UK or know where you can get Collection 2000, they have a ';Perfecting minerals'; mineral foundation and it is outstanding and better then L'oreal and maybelline and costs half as much.

Is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation good?
I really want it to make my pores appear smaller. Is it good in that aspect? Thanks! Is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation good?
Pros:
--Very moisturizing
--Medium Coverage, could apply to get better coverage
--Matte Finish (initially)
--Great packaging
--The color match is amazing. I got Nude (Light 2-3?) and it was PERFECT!
--The price is great, especially when they are BOGO
Cons:
--Caused MASSIVE breakouts!! My poor skin was just recovering from my previous breakouts and you gave me NEW ones?!! WHYYYYY!!!!!!
--It lasted about 30 minutes on me WITH SETTING POWDER.
--It made me super duper oily, and I have DRY skin! WTF?
--It gets on EVERYTHING it touches. I don't mind it fading, everything fades eventually, but this is too much. It got on my BF's shirt after we hug, it got on my finger which transferred to my paper, it got on my clothes, EVERYTHING!! ARRRG!
Oh, HECK NO!! Never again! I returned the ones I got and I rarely do that. The best thing I love about this is the packaging and how well it matched my skin. However, the 5-10 giant un-popable pimples I got from using this made me depressed. Now I have MORE scars to deal with, awesome! If you have normal-oily skin, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AT ALL! Stay as far from this as possible! You WILL become an oil slick. Try this at your own risk.Is Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation good?
Do you mean The Liquid or the mouse
If you mean the Liquid
Ewe, I just bought it i really highly disliked it !
Try the mousse!
Its amazing Its from Maybelline too.

I just recently purchased this and I'm not a very big fan of liquid cover-ups because MOST of them DO emphasize pores. I used to have the pore problem aswell and I used powder cover-ups and those seem to work.
Try M.A.C Studio Fix.

No, It doesnt even have good coverage.
In my opinion, it emphasizes them.
It covered okay, but made me break-out bc I think it's oil based. A really good concealer and a good compact work great for me.
It made my skin SOO oily. I don't recommend it.

Best liquid foundation for oily skin that is less than 30 dollars?
What is the BEST liquid foundation for oily skin that is less than 30 bucks? PREFERABLY something found at Kohl'sBest liquid foundation for oily skin that is less than 30 dollars?
Try Revlon Color Stay. They have an oil free product that is the second best I've ever tried. I use Laura Mercier oil free foundation but it is around $40.00. Best of luck...Best liquid foundation for oily skin that is less than 30 dollars?
Kamiah, as one w/oily skin, you should use a foundation that is water based; however, the care of your skin is most important. Use a product(s) that help to keep your oil under control. Also, don't compound the problem by eating a diet that has a lot of fried and fast food. For my oily skin, I use aularale.com/7002. Both the liquid and creme foundation is priced under $30. Also, try using a loose translucent powder over the foundation.
try bare essentials (liquid foundation usually not good for oily skin I heard)
try loreal cashmere perfect
Visit www.youravon.com/rjackson4758.Look on the left and visit the Mark link. They make products for people ages 14-26.They have a couple of foundation options. They are all under $30.
Aveda is the best plant derived product out there and it is below 30 bucks

How often does foundation have to be applied? and does it vary with powder and liquid foundation?
Thanks!!!!!How often does foundation have to be applied? and does it vary with powder and liquid foundation?
I use revlon colorstay foundation and I apply in the morning and it lasts all day...
you can touch up during the day with a powder but you should never reapply foundation over the top of foundation.
make sure you get a good quality foundation which is perfect for your tone and it should last all day...
I've bought cheap foundations before and they never last...
edit: I apply the liquid foundation, then apply a light coat of powder to cover any shine... I always keep my powder on me if I need to touch up any shine... or you could use oil blotters which will take away any shine aswell...How often does foundation have to be applied? and does it vary with powder and liquid foundation?
If you were to use liquid foundation you would probably have to apply it every 6-10 hours or so, on a good day. Powder foundation, like bare minerals or other generic names, are by far the best. You never need to reapply them, just wash them off. They also dont make you break out as often. Bare Minerals is very expensive, I use the brand from Physcians Formula and it works just as well if not better. Powder foundation is much better: lasts longer, easier to apply, easier to blend. Hope this helps =)
Powder foundation stays on much better than liquid. If you sweat, the liquid foundation will leak off your face, and you will have to apply it throughout the day.
If you use powder, it will stay on throughout the day. Unless you have really oily skin. Then you may have to apply it twice a day.

Is Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation good?
I have combination skin with yellow under-tones. I would like a medium coverage. Is it better than CoverGirl's TruBlend Mineral Powder Foundation? Is Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation good?
I think Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation beats CG TruBlend Mineral Powder Foundation in terms of transfer-resistance, coverage, oil-control and durability.
Also, the lighter shades of CG TruBlend Mineral Powder Foundation tend to look quite ashen whilst the darker shades have quite a bit of pink in them. It's quite difficult to find a yellow-based shade in this line. I haven't used CG foundations for many years because I cannot find a shade that matches my Chinese (MAC NC20-25) skin tone.
Also, the first 2 ingredients of CG TruBlend Mineral Powder Foundation are mica and talc so it might not be the best choice (especially for those with oily skin) if you don't like the sheen/glow of mica.Is Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation good?
I've never tried CG's mineral foundation, but Revlon Colorstay does have good coverage.
I dont use it anymore though, because it sinks into my pores, making them look huge.
They also dont have many options for people with yellow undertones.
Im Korean, and my skin has yellow %26amp; Olive undertones, and even the cloest matching color available was a little too tan.
Personally, I've found covergirls trublend not that good for matching up to my colors and revlon better but it has a lot to do with personal preference and the color you are and if you have a foundation color that matches your skin so for me revlon was better
No, I don't think it suits my skin at least. =) It makes my skin look dry and flaked, and FAKE.
i like it ..

I'm looking for a liquid foundation and/or powder, can you help?
I don't understand why my face make-up seems to fade away at the end of the day and I look terrible. What can I use that will last longer than 10 hours. What technique do you use?I'm looking for a liquid foundation and/or powder, can you help?
Don't use make up too often. It'll clog your pores and give you pimples. When your at home don't wear any and if you really want to get some then choose one that is oil-free and matches your skin colour. Or close enough. I'm sure your beautiful and don't even need it!I'm looking for a liquid foundation and/or powder, can you help?
there's been a few questions like this. i'd definately recommend making sure your face is washed and dried completely first, and always use a primer. your make up will last longer and it won't seep into your pores, which will help prevent break outs. always use a powder to set your foundation and try not to touch or wipe your face during the day/night whenever your wearing the make up. if you have oily skin try getting some blotting paper to blot away the oil, then brush a bit more powder over the top. good luck :)
maybelline dream matt foundation is a gorgeous air wipped foundation in 12 different shades. and because its like a powder an liquid combined it lasts all day :) also laura mercier and clinique tinted moisturisers are a great natural alternative to foundation :)
try better quality
put on primer befoe make-up.
I use some foundation called infallible. It works pretty good. I use loose powder on top of that. For touch-ups I use a regular compact powder. My make-up usually stays on.
try revlon liquid foundation
Arbonnes foundation works great so does the rest of their makeup e-mail me I'll tell you more
I use I.D. Bare Minerals.
http://www.bareminerals.com/
I think it's the best make-up ever. It looks so natural no one would guess you have any make-up on at all. But it covers any imperfections and looks great all day, just a touch up and your good to go for the night.
This is what I do and my makeup lasts from sunrise till I take it off in the shower at about 10 p.m.
1. I wash my face in shower with a good face wash every morning ( I use ARbonne's NutrminC re9 anti aging wash)
2. I use witch hazel for toner
3.I use primer (Arbonne's personalizer: it's a greenish, compact powder stuff that absorbs oils, and evens out skin tone)
4. I moisturize (Arbonne)
5. I apply Arbonne's mineral poweder foundation. Gives your face a fresh, glowy look. Cheaper than bare minerals and works better.
6. Apply blush, eye shadow, liner, mascara, etc...
I was using Avon cream to powder before I found Arbonne. My face looked greasy and just like I had nothing on after about 5 hours.
If your interested in trying any of the Arbonne products jus clik my profile for info and e-mail.
Liquid foundation is not advisable to woman with oily skin which melt easily . So visit the cosmetic counter, espcially Avon which produces cosmetic formulated to all sort of women skin. Press powder are available to suppress oilness and sweat. Any brand of cosmetic like Helena Rubinstein, Max Factor, though are producing same beauty aids but you need to hear from their beauty consultants. I hope this answer does not suit as adversiting.
I use clinique, it starts to fade a little after 8 hours but it does not cake just use a sponge to freshen up and use a little moisturizer before you put it on if you have dry skin; and set with powder if you have oily skin.
I use Bare Minerals. You can get it online or at Sephora. It lasts a long time, but maybe not 10 hours. Maybe you should get something that is easy to transport and reapply? Good Luck.
I use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse it stays on all day and it's cheap, to apply i use a damp warm sponge that way it goes on kind of sheer and doesn't look cakey. I definitely recommend it.

Try mineral makeup. It is made from natural ingredients so is good for your skin.
puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
Try Mary Kay's Full Coverage Foundation. It's by far the best foundation I've ever used. I used to use Cover girl, but it always faded away and like you said at the end of the day I looked terrible. Well now I'll use nothing else but MK Full Coverage Foundation . I also use the Dual Coverage Powder Foundation over the top of the Full Coverage Foundation it seems to help give you that matte look and it's not one of those foundations that you touch you face and it comes off on to your fingers. It's great I really do think you ought to try it you can find a consultant in your area on line at www.marykay.com and you can request a sample but make sure you choose a few different color samples so you get the right shade for your face. Good Luck!

The best liquid foundation for me?
I have very fair, dry skin with the occasional pimple. What would be the best liquid foundation for me? Preferably a drugstore brand available in Canada. The best liquid foundation for me?
Trublend by covergirlThe best liquid foundation for me?
Revlon Colorstay for Normal/Dry Skin Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 15
is an excellent drugstore foundation. However, foundation is definitely not the makeup product you are supposed to be saving on---you are supposed to splurge on foundation.
I'd recommend Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup with SPF 10 to you. It's 45 dollars but EXCELLENT! for your skin type.
try trublend by cover girl i used it once and i got a hot boyfriend quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
My skin lately has been very oily, probably bc it's summer and humid and my skin is reacting bc I can't remember having to use so many blotting papers. I use bare minerals matte on a regular basis but it seems like it's really been making me oiler sooner than usual. I'm thinking about switching to oil free foundation, any thoughts?Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
loreal bare naturale is the only foundation that works for me and i have very oily skin.Which one is best for oily skin? mineral make up or liquid foundation?
I have dry skin so I use liquid foundation , my mother has oily skin so she uses bare mineral make up. You should too. And never wear your moisturizer underneath it. Before you put your make up on rub your skin with ice and then wipe and use the make up. The colors appear more bright.
I think mineral makeup because it's a powder that will absorb the oil on your skin, the liquid may make it worse considering oil...and then liquid foundation can be oily looking sometimes.
Don't use liquid foundation because that can just make your face seem even more oily. Mineral makeup can make your skin seem smooth and natural! Give it a try! Good luck! :)
As a professional makeup artist for over 209 years get Bee Luscious Cosmetics Liquid to powder mineral makeup it is the only brand that is
truly hypo allergenic and will not clog pores.
mineral make up makes my skin realllllly oily really quickly
i use liquid foundation (almay truly lasting color) and then put almay nearly naked loose powder over that. it keeps my skin pretty oil free for a good amount of time :)
i have really oily skin and when i use liquid foundation my face gets sooo disgusting. i use clinique clarifying cream powder and its the most beautiful thing ive ever found. haha keeps me shine free alll day
don't use liquid foundation.
It clogs pores so bad.
it'll just make your skin more oily.
Just use powder and coverup where you need it.
Definately mineral makeup. Liquid foundation can make your skin look oily even if its not! I have oily skin mayslef and I use bare minerals myself
i have the oiliest skin u could ever imagine yuckkk lol but i still find liqiud foundation + finishing powder works wonders for me
I would have to say mineral make-up would be better ! See if they have a section for oily sceen. Good Luck :0)

If liquid foundation is oil free then will it won't clog pores?
I'm using the ';Etre belle'; one silk finish. Is it good? For skin. Ands its oil free. Is liquid foundation even good for skin?If liquid foundation is oil free then will it won't clog pores?
There are many other foundation ingredients that could clog pores. Basically anything with silicones in it clogs pores as well. I would feel the consistency of it, if it feels greasy, it might clog pores.
Removing makeup well at night- using a toner after you cleanse- is a great way to keep your pores free of grit.If liquid foundation is oil free then will it won't clog pores?
Everything clogs your pores, even the invisible things in the air. Oil-free foundation will help control shine and keep your skin looking fresh longer. Liquid foundation is neither good nor bad. Use products that please you. I am not familiar with Etre Belle because it isn't an American brand.
Just about all foundations are absorbed into the skin.
Just because its oil free, that doesnt mean it wont be absorbed into the skin.
Well its a liquid so it could still still clog pores. Oil free doesn't really mean anything.

I will always love liquid foundation, who likes the minerals better than liquid foundation?
liquid please... the mineral tends to clump a littleI will always love liquid foundation, who likes the minerals better than liquid foundation?
I will never wear liquid foundation again. I bought the starter pack of sheer cover about 3 years ago. I used to have to use soo much liquid foundation; I looked cakey and nasty. My face was oily and always was broken out all over in zits.
I didn't stay with Sheer Cover, but now I use L'Oreal bare natural mineral foundation. My face is completely clear since I started using mineral foundation. I get compliments on how great my skin is. And my skin is never oily and I never have to re-apply. It's amazing and I would never-ever go back to liquid.I will always love liquid foundation, who likes the minerals better than liquid foundation?
Me me me!! I like to use Liquid Foundation, but my #1 Favorite is Minerals Makeup!!
I am so Glad I started using Minerals because its been best for helping me prevent acne breakouts.
It just feels more natural on my face %26amp; I don't feel like its clogging my pores.
Its great coverage %26amp; long lasting. If I want to freshen my makeup~~~I can just add a touch of foundation %26amp; blush or translucent powder~~ %26amp; it doesnt look cakey.
I cant use any minerals with bismuth, but its easy to find bismuth free mineral makeup.
I love a cream foundation ...and I love the Bare Minerals ...and I use them both not at the same time but it depends on my mood and what I am doing or where I am going as to which I use. I still beleive that liquid/cream foundation gives you more coverage than the Minerals ...but I like the light feeling I have when I use the Minerals .....Right now the makeup industry is hot with the new Mineral lines .....but I think the basic foundation will always be around and some people will never go away from it. When I want to go out for a special night I usually use my cream foundation .....I just feel more ';made up'; for lack of a better word. But it doesn't look thick or nothing....I guess because I am so use to wearing a cream or liquid foundation for years .....I have a hard time thinking I have all my makeup on when I just use Minerals ....but I like them....just trying to get use to them.....
Hope this was helpful ~~~
I hate both I love mousse foundation I use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation and concealer. It's the best!
Hope I helped!
never used liquid, but mineral is cool. but the look you want to achieve i think it depends on ur face at the end of the day what works best for it.
I have used both on and off for 5 years. I like both so much!!! Sometimes I'll used liquid and mineral at the same time to make me look airbrushed....I LOVE IT!
i use maybelline liquid foundation and mineral powder so i like to use both

Would the Eco Tools kabuki brush be good for applying Cover Girl TreBlend Liquid Foundation?
No, a kabuki brush is meant for smoothing on powders, it is much too soft for liquid foundations, try the E.L.F foundation brush, it is only $1 and works great, i use it for my liquid foundation every day, you could also try a semi-stiff paint brush from the art store.Would the Eco Tools kabuki brush be good for applying Cover Girl TreBlend Liquid Foundation?

What's Better Dream Matte Mousse Foundation or Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation?
I have a little bit of acne, and im looking for something that wont clog my pores %26amp; has a lot of coverage. I dont want it to come on too cakey. I did some research %26amp; found that Maybelliene's dream matte mousse foundation was a very popular product with people. However, a friend of mine uses their dream liquid mousse foundation %26amp; says that it works really good. Which one would you recommend? Or, does anyone have any other good makeup they would like to recommend? What's Better Dream Matte Mousse Foundation or Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation?
Get the liquid one for sure.
The mousse does exactly what you said you don't want it to.. looks cakey and noticable and it will clog your pores. It also looks terrible over acne and makes any dry skin stand out =S It only look's good on girl's who have really good skin aready, but since you're looking for something to cover acne it won't benefit you.
The liquid works well and would definately be better for the summer since the mouse will melt off your face in seconds lol
The coverage is also good and it doesn't look as noticable xDWhat's Better Dream Matte Mousse Foundation or Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation?
I hear that the liquid foundation works better. I've tried the mousse one, and that also works pretty well.

Is it better if I put powder foundation over my liquid foundation?
yes, i use oil-free liquid, then mineral powder foundation. it keeps your face from looking greesy. Is it better if I put powder foundation over my liquid foundation?
YES! it works much better but be sure that you don't put the liquid foundation all over your face, just put it on the blemishes. Because if you put it all over your face and then apply the powder it will look over-done and may come out flakey or cakey. I also apply the liquid foundation with my finger, it works better (I find) Make sure the two foundations aren't really different tones because your face colour will look un-even. Try experimenting when you have time but not before you are going to properly apply your make-up to go out! Hope I helped. Is it better if I put powder foundation over my liquid foundation?
I wouldn`t used liquid AND powder foundations. The 2 kinds are both meant for coverage, and so it could be overkill.
Although it`s always good to use a transluscent SETTING powder over the liquid foundation, even over powder foundation, to help set.

I want a good powder or liquid mineral foundation, but my skin tone changes often?
I have fair skin with beige undertones, during the summer i get very, tan so then there is even less pinkness to my skin almost yellowish. I need a make up that will flex with my skin coloring. so i don't always have to buy a different shade after going to the beach (i tan through sunblock) thanks!I want a good powder or liquid mineral foundation, but my skin tone changes often?
You should try almay's smart shade makeup, it's very light and doesn't have much coverage but it stays on nicely. So unless you have bad skin problems or acne, this blends really well with skin and looks light and natural. It's liquid though so I apply with my fingers..
its advertised to match your skintone, read some reviews on it. works fine for me!I want a good powder or liquid mineral foundation, but my skin tone changes often?
If your skin tone change a lot during the summer, then it is best to have two different shades of foundation. There are so many mineral makeup company out there which offers different range of foundation colors with affordable price. Most companies offer sample size which you can choose 2-3 colors to try. So you can choose color that will match your skin tone on summer and winter.

Which liquid foundation should I try?
I'm looking to buy a liquid foundation, something I haven't worn in at least three years (I've been wearing maybelline mineral powder). I have fair skin with little to no blemishes. I want some basic coverage that feels light weight and doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup at all. What do you recommend?

What's the step-by-step in applying make up? Primer first then the liquid foundation then what?
I mean the final touch up to make the skin radiant...ThanksWhat's the step-by-step in applying make up? Primer first then the liquid foundation then what?
1.) Start with clean, prepped face. (Medication, Moisturizer if you need it, Sunblock, [Always!], Anti-Shine, etc.)
2.) Lightly spead primer onto all areas you want to cover with foundation.
3.) Apply foundations starting in middle of your face, tapering to very light coverage to the jawbone and hairline.
4.) Set foundation with light dusting of loose powder
5.) Apply blush. If powder, cover all area of brush, ';Pop'; in apple of your cheek and blend slightly outward and upwards, but use a light touch so that you don't have harsh streaks. If cream, dab on apple and blend with your fingers in the same way.
6.) If you want a light airbrushed look, use a pearly highlighter on top of your cheekbones and sweep above eyes. Also run brush lightly across forehead, down bridge of nose and tip of chin.
For a summer look, use a brozer instead, and apply exactly the same.
7.) Do your eyes. (Don't forget your eyebrows.)
8.) Finish with lips.
9.) If shiny again dust more loose powder on your oily zones. What's the step-by-step in applying make up? Primer first then the liquid foundation then what?
well first your primer should be a good moisturizer and next it doesnt always have to be a liquid foundation. I actually think that mineral pressed foundation covers just as good but leaves your face so smooth looking. Next comes your eyes than your cheeks. Its all about choosing the right colors for your skin tone. If you feel like your skin is looking dull and sallow after you apply your foundation you might want to switch to a different brand. Or apply a bronzer to give your skin that glow. Try christimarcosmetics.com. They have a great mineral foundation line and their bronzer is the best I have ever used. Trust me you wont regret it.
I would say it goes in this order:
-moisturizer
-blot off excess with tissue
-primer [if you need it to fill in large pores]
-foundation [liquid or power or cream, whatever you prefer]
-use loose powder to lightly dust your whole face, brush off excess also
-lightly spray your whole face with a face mist [ei. Evian spray or Vichy or just any other spray...must be in arosal can, not in a pump] THIS will give you a fresh glow... and really even out your makeup

This is what I usually do - not sure if a make-up artist would say it was correct but it is a shot lol!!!
I wash my face (I use the Clinique 3 step thing)
toner
moisturize
wait a few minutes
concealer and primer etc
base/foundation
powder
cheeks
eyelids
brows and finally
lips
Professionally I do in this order: Primer, liquid foundation, conceal any flaws, shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lips. I finish with a mineral foundation for coverage and glow. I like to highlight cheeks with Highbeam by Benefit. Best of luck.

Does anyone just wear liquid foundation and no powder?
i always wear both liquid and a powder but you can always see the powder on my face so i was wondering if anyone just wore liquid and thinks it looks more natural? also does maybelline have good products? if so whats your favorite?Does anyone just wear liquid foundation and no powder?
Yah, I just wear liquid foundation but when my nose or forehead is oily i just put a little bit of translucent powder on that area. If you really need powder make sure you moisturize well so it's not dry, and after applying it blot off any excess. Liquid to me definetly looks more natural cuz it blends in better than powder. I think maybelline has good products, some better than others. All of their mascaras are worth a shot, as well as their eyeliners. Hope I helped ;]Does anyone just wear liquid foundation and no powder?
yeah i do because i have dry skin and i can't find a powder i like. i use the almay perfect shade (the one that goes on white and matches your skin color) i really think it works because since i started wearing it everyone says it looks natural. and i think that maybelline makes a similar product so just go the the grocery store or wherever and check it out!
Yes i do, i used both liquid foundation and pressed powder because it helps me not to get oily face. I used to buy max factor liquid foundation. Maybelline is also good especially their lipstick... :)
I do just liquid. It's not terribly effective though...maybe I should start using powder :/
yes.

Can you use a brush to apply liquid foundation?
yes but make sure its a good quality or bristles come off and you end up with it looking streaky and can see bristle marks. MAC do good ones, and ruby%26amp;millieCan you use a brush to apply liquid foundation?
yes but rinse the brush after using it every tine so it wont hardenCan you use a brush to apply liquid foundation?
Yes! you can. It will go on evenly that is what the professionals do. Try it!
Yes, like this foundation brush.

yes you can! that is how i apply my primer and foundation and conceraler. i bought my brushes as target i usually use sonia kushik brushes or i buy brushes from e.l.f cosmetics, they're brushes are actually just as good as those like sonia kushik which tend to be more expensive, and they are worh the $1 i paid for them!

Which should I buy: liquid foundation or concealer?
Both from L'Oreal True Match.
I already have the mineral powder btw.
Pros %26amp; Cons:
Liquid foundation: good coverage
bad for skin
Concealer: good-ish coverage depending on if i get lots of spots
not cakey
Which one and why?
I'm not BADLY covered in spots to need liquid foundation, but i'm worried that the concealer might not do enough of a job.Which should I buy: liquid foundation or concealer?
Concealer. if the liquid foundation is bad for your skin, youll break out n ull spend way more on products! :)Which should I buy: liquid foundation or concealer?
Speaking from experience, liquid foundation was the worst thing I ever did for my skin. It just made my skin so much worse and increased breakouts.
Concealer only does the same thing. By putting concealer over top of blemishes, you are not allowing oxegen to get to the blemish, which will just lock in moisture and prolong it's existence.
For me, what works amazingly is oil free pressed powder.
I just use regular Cover Girl Outlast.
If you have dry skin, apply an oil free moisturizer before hand, let it dry - and then apply the powder.
* It's also a good idea to bring it with you to the workplace or school, so you can apply touch ups throughout the day . *
I think that you shold get the foundation as like you say it will give a good coverage, and unlike what you put it's not that bad for your skin and if it's from L'Oreal it certainly won't be cakey.
Remember if you are worried about the foundation being bad for your skin you could buy a anti-spot / skin-clearing foundation.
Personally I used foundation and no concealer.
first of all: do not buy MAC or Benefit face products..their foundations are wayyy too harsh.
I would suggest a concealer for under eyes and maybe spot treatment if you have ance AND a foundation for all over.
The trick is with your foundation do not get a completely full coverage if you don't want to look pasty. Get a light, weightless foundation.
I would suggest Estee Lauder brand, they make very nice foudation that does not cause acne...but if you cannot afford Estee Lauder (it is a little pricy, mine is 32.50)...use Neutrogena foundation that is very light and good for the skin :)
good luck!
Foundation, definitely.
The foundation from True Match is amazing. It's oil-free and doesn't give a cakey-ness to your skin like you don't want it to be. It also covers up blemishes well.
Liquid foundation is good for covering up as you said. Actually, it isn't bad for your skin if its oil free and doesn't clog pores.
So get that first.
:)
both will cause acne. I get Benefits pink highlight pencil and it works better.
i suggest both
both is pretty much nessesary
you should get the mac concealer because it works really welllipstick

What is the best liquid foundation?
I have to wear liquid foundation and a powder makeup and i would rather just find a liquid foundation that has a great finish that i wont have to use a powder. thanksWhat is the best liquid foundation?
The best hands down is bee luscious cosmetics liquid minerals foundation. This has been the only and I mean ONLY foundation I have worked with that delivers what it says it does. Its a beautiful flawless finish and its hypo allergenic and I have never seen a single break out with any of my clients even the acne prone and sensitive skins. So this is really a 5 star foundationWhat is the best liquid foundation?
With liquid foundations, it is reccommended you use a powder to set it and help it last longer.
a great high end foundatoin is Makeup Forever HD liquid foundatoin
the best drugstore would be Revlon COlour Stay which is super comparable to MAC Studio Fix Fluid
lovestory
Recommend what I use: Coonobabe
for oily skin use their Savila base
for normal/dry try their Moisturize
Google Coonobabe
btw - they ship 4 free, made in USA, and do not test on animals - a must for me.
hope this helps
Dream Matte Mousse
I sometimes just end up starting on sale and using tons products. Do what fits your situation and Im sure your gut will be correct.

What Is The Best Liquid Foundation(Non-Drugstrore Preferably) For Oily/Dry Skin?
I have oily AND dry skin. What's the best liquid foundation? What about concealer? What's just the best makeup stuff period??? Thanks!!!What Is The Best Liquid Foundation(Non-Drugstrore Preferably) For Oily/Dry Skin?
I just answered a similar question! I have oily skin and I've used Revlon's New Complexion make-up for probably 20 years.
It covers well and is non-comedogenic. A little goes a long way, so I hardly use any at all. (I store my foundation in the fridge.)What Is The Best Liquid Foundation(Non-Drugstrore Preferably) For Oily/Dry Skin?
I have oily and dry skin at the same time also.. I use Clinique Perfectly Real foundation when my skin is not too flaky (due to medication).. When my skin is extra dry though, I just use concealer on uneven spots, blend it and then use Clinique Clarifying powder over my whole face with a makeup brush.. It keeps the oil in check and since it is powder, it doesn't make your face look flaky or cakey.. Always put moisturizer on before also, but not in your T-zone... This is how I have battled the dry/oily dilemma and am really happy with the results. I really like Clinique alot.. My concealer is from Lancome though, I just liked it better...
I have experimented with alot of brands and always come back to Clinique for the foundation and powder...
Good Luck! :)
I have combination skin as well. I find mineral makeup such as everydayminerals or purminerals best for both skin types. Although when I use liquid foundation, I like something that is not too thick so it doesn't make me look cakey. Try LORAC or STILA. And just remember using a moisturizer before and to set your liquid foundation with powder afterward. Something that I absolutely adore using before applying makeup also are primers or garnier's new skin renew which ahs vitamin c which is really good for your skin. Hope this helps!
oily AND dry? I suppose you mean that it's oily in some places and dry in others, right? Well... I think that the absolute BEST foundation that I've ever used is Clinique Superfit makeup - it's a good brand, and it's not expensive - only about $25 per bottle. But for the oily areas of your face, I would use a good loose powder to finish it off(the superfit makeup itself is liquid, so this would make you not look shiny). I love Clinique, and I'm starting to absolutely love MAC, too. Good luck!
Sorry, but the more expensive brands are really no better than drugstore brands. I would highly recommend mineral makeup instead of liquid. It's MUCH better for your skin. And you can apply as little or as much as you need to cover any flaws.
I've used both the expensive brands of mineral makeup and the drugstore brands. The drugstore brands worked much better! High dollar brands are really a rip-off!
I have the same problem that you have. My forehead gets oily and the area around my nose gets very dry.
I use Clinique as well, but I use the Superbalanced Foundation, which is intended for combination skin. I apply it with a foundation brush so that it goes on slightly lighter than with a sponge.
I then finish it off with Superpowder Double Face Makeup.
I also use their 3-step skin cleansing line - skin type II- for combination skin.
If you go to any Clinique counter, they will be willing to let you try it out.
Good luck!

Can I use CoverGirl TruBlend Microminerals Finishing Veil OVER my CG TB liquid makeup foundation?
I looked it up on a bunch of different search engines but none tell me if I can or not. On the CG website, they say the Finishing Veil is for setting powder foundation, but can I use it to set my liquid foundation?
I don't see why not, but nothing is telling me otherwise! Can I use CoverGirl TruBlend Microminerals Finishing Veil OVER my CG TB liquid makeup foundation?
Sure go for it, you can use any powder with any foundation, as long as they both match your fine. Can I use CoverGirl TruBlend Microminerals Finishing Veil OVER my CG TB liquid makeup foundation?
why wouldn't you be able to?
You can use any powder to set any form of foundation. It might not work for what you want (ie controlling oil) but it woudln't do anything bad.

Does anyone else mix moose and liquid foundation?
Do you feel you get better coverage this way?Does anyone else mix moose and liquid foundation?
Yeah I usually do.
I think liquid covers better, so I use that first and then after that, I'll use mousse, so it gives a more soft and matte look :)
But not too much so it looks cakey hah. Does anyone else mix moose and liquid foundation?
i do!!
i put the moose as a base coat for coverage and then liquid for perfect complexion and to cover imperfections.
i wouldn't literally mix them. like put one on one after the other!1 i use dream matt moose and isa dora!!
i do and it seems to work for me, i always had trouble finding a foundation with great coverage, then i tried mixing them.
hope this helped.
x
yeah liquid is better for a base and mousse for stuff you want to cover more or you want them to be matte.
Yup, sometimes.
yes deffinately.
TIP though, if you are mixing, the be sure to dab it on lightly so you dont get a blotchy effect. :)
uhhh No.....lipstick

Why does my liquid foundation look patchy?
I use cover girl, the one u buy at walmart, and my makeup looks good wen i put it on then in about three hours my face is all greasy and it looks patchy and noticable, i am not allergic to it. i also put on moisterizer before i apply and a velvet skin coat to help keep my makeup on. i apply wit my fingers. any tools or better makeup that i can use?? help! Why does my liquid foundation look patchy?
Try not using mosturizer, some products; when mixed together can cause a greasy look, i use liquid foundation and it look fab. throughout the day!Why does my liquid foundation look patchy?
apply it with a brush.
or put some on the back of your hand and spread it so it wont be so cakey and then put it on your face.
apply more cream and also you might not be using enough coverage you should do 2 coats of cover up and blend really well and then apply powder
LET EVERYTHING DRY BEFORE THE NEXT STEP!!!!!!!
let your cream sinnk in for about 5 min. and your primer about a min.,
then your foundation for about 2 min then use yor poder to blend some more
also through out the day use those paper blot things to asorb the oil and hten retouch
also you may wnat to try a different brand if it continouse mayeb your should go with an oil free cover up
i use tru match by loreal and i havea combo skin works good anytime other then summer i let my face breath in hte summer
I currently use Clinque liquid foundation and I find it normally lasts throughout the day. You didn't say if you were setting your foundation with a light (loose) powder. If you aren't you should buy a loose powder which you lightly dust over your foundation, working outwards. Also try not to use your fingers when applying foundation. You should invest in a brush, but remember to clean it otherwise it will pick up bacteria. (a normal foundation brush or a skunk brush will work fine). Not applying the foundation propaly can lead to it becoming patchy, but also touching your face throughout the day will rub off foundation in certain spots. Also if you aren't using a powder to set your foundation, then it is bound it wear off very easily. Hope this helped a little.
If you are unsure on what to buy, you can get free makeup advice at the makeup counters and they will normally do your foundation for you, just remember don't be persauded to buy something you cannot afford or don't like.
Try the triangular shaped spongy applicators. They absorb any extra grease from the products.
Have you tried any products from MAC?
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>
Please go to this page and pick a foundation that you think will work for you. I think that you should try the water based liquid foundation in your color, it has SPF 15 in it and it's not oily, it protects your skin and it really does last. I use it all the time!! Try it out, you can also play around w. the products if you visit a MAC store, they may be just a bit pricey but trust me it's worth it =]
I think your problem is that the stuff your buying is crap.. It probably comes off during the day and leaves you with what you have on your. Or you many be putting foundation over dry skin, which looks fine at first, but during the day gets flaky and gross. So check that.
I use Lancome Paris stuff, save up your money and youll end up paying somewhere between 20-75 dollars on REALLY good foundation.
hope that helps! :)
First you need too use a facial scrub to exforliate a couple times a week. This will even out and smooth you enire face.
After cleansing your face, always use a toner to close the pores back up or the make up get into the pores and can cause uneven skin and dry spots. Even if you have oily skin you still need the toner (just get one for oily skin.)
Next you apply a light coat of mositurizer and let it stay on your face a few minutes before applying your make up. Once the moisturizer has had time to soak in, then you can apply your make up.
It is always better to apply your make up with a sponge or make up applicator. It is difficult to put make up on with your fingers becaue it does not go on evenly and you have a tendency to put too much on.
After your make up, apply your eye shadow, pencil, blush or bronzer. It is much better to use a neutral shade of light loose powder. This will set the make up and help it stay on longer. If you have oily skin, you can apply a small amount of compact powder during the day to keep it fresh.
Then, be sure to cleanse you face at night and remove all the make up. Use the toner again to close up the pores. Then apply a night cream to keep your skin moist and soft. I am sure you have heard. Your face it like a canvas and before you put anything on it, it needs to be in good condition. Do this everyday for a month and remember to exfoliate twice a week for a month and you will notice a big change in the surface of your face. The skin will feel softer, and smoother any your make up should stay on all day.
It may sound like a lot of work but it really is not. It will become routine and you will have a beautifully smooth face. You may not even want to use make up. You can just use a loose powder and bronzer with some eye shadow and lip gloss. Try it and let me know!...lol :)
i dont like covergirl that much except for lashblast mascara. may b ur skin is oily, so skip the liquid and just use pressed powder and loose powder. my faves are:
clinique perfectly real compact makeup
clinique blended face powder
its high quality and worth the money. best evr!!!
you can try sponge to mak it more even. 1. you might b putting to much foundation is a couple spots without knowing it. 2. u might not b putting enough on.3. through out the day your face lets oils come out and it's making your make up go away. try getting a better foundation. i use clinique and it stays. or you could buy a pressed powder and use it during the day to keep the greasies from melting ur make up. hope this helps!

What's a good foundation liquid thaqt won't clog your pores?
Like I said I kneed a good liquid foundation that won't clog my pores pleaz help! What's a good foundation liquid thaqt won't clog your pores?
Mayballine (spelling?) Matte Mousse is really nice, it goes on smooth and covers well. But if you need a lot of coverage due to blemishes, use a concealer first. What's a good foundation liquid thaqt won't clog your pores?
I use mac on My face and it doesn't look heavy like that other girl claimed unless u are globbing it on. lol. So anyways, yea they also make different variations of coverage. But you really need to use a primer first. That will protect your pores and also smooth your face and make a perfect canvas for your foundation to glide on and last all day. :) Remember, its a crime not to prime :) then at night always wash your face. to further protect your pores . i'm sure you do that anyway though :)
Maybelline Mineral liquid foundation!!!!!
-Mac is more for show, its heavy stuff; not to mention pricey. But it does ';look'; fantastic!!!
... Any foundation you put on your face goes into your pores... make sure you cleanse, tone and moisturize before. But generally using a cleanser after taking off make up would work.. Or stick with a power base foundation.
Clinique foundation(s) mainly because their brand is famous for treating all types of skin and all products from clinique are healthy for your skin including powder, foundation and concealer.
MAC liquid mineralize. it blends nicely and since it's mineral, it won't damage you skin.

What do think of Covergirl TRUE BLEND?:Liquid foundation?
I love MAC, but right now Im using covergirl cause I had some breakouts and covergirl dosnt break me out, and I use the Clean makeup but I lways see the True Blend.... SOME people say it's watery and dosnt coverwell... What's your thoughts on it.What do think of Covergirl TRUE BLEND?:Liquid foundation?
excellent :) its certainly not watery and yes it does cover excellently, just dont leave it in like...direct sunlight, and keep it in a cool area in your bathroom. that way it pretty much stays good but make sure u apply it wellWhat do think of Covergirl TRUE BLEND?:Liquid foundation?
I went to MAC yesterday and they told me the only way u can break out from foundation is if ur using the wrong kind, dirty brushes or applying with ur fingers!
Anyway withthat being said, if ur gonna use a drugstore brand, use Revlon Colour Stay liquid foundation, and use a stippling brush
the only thing good from CG is the LashBlash mascara and lipglosses
It is a very light foundation, as in it won't cover blemishes/discolored skin. I don't suggest it. I bought it and was pretty disappointed. ): Sorry!
I personally think Cover girl makeup Is crap!
I use M.A.C,Mary Kay,And Clinique makeup.
-Bridget
seems okay but the colour selection isn't the greatest... power foundation is my choice
I hated it.
I tried every shade near my skin tone and i could not get it to blend at all.
i think cover girl true blend foundation works really well
look the next best thing that I came across is the brand No.7
they have this really cool true blend mousse. it's wonderful.
it's not caky, watery.covers gr8,blends flawlessly, and very low in price!
you can find it at your locale target for about 12 bucks!
liquid foundation sucks the powder foundation is much better.

What liquid foundation works best?
I need one that has the best coverage and stays on for a long time? does it make you break out? What liquid foundation works best?
maybelline pure makeup
it doesn't make my skin break out, it goes on really even and naturalWhat liquid foundation works best?
maxfactor it costs 9.50 but lasts for about 3 months.
I recommend Lancome products. They have a range of different types of foundations, from catering to oily skin to dry skin. And with each type of foundation, there is a large range of colors to match your tone perfectly.
I use Lancome and it has never made my skin break out, flake, dry out, or anything. Plus, it lasts a good amount of time (approx. 8-10 hours).
maybelline superstay silky
I use a face primer and Lancome foundation.
Maxfactor - Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation. The palest is pretty pale, it matches my skin and that's an achievement! It stays on pretty much all day, it is abit expensive though, like here in the UK it's around 拢13.00. But it is good and the packaging is very handy!
Hope I helped,

Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I'm going to get either one or the other, but which one will give the best coverage for blemishes??Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I'd say Loreal too, but not because its heavy. What I have isn't heavy at all, and has pretty buildable coverage. Also True Match has soooo many more shades than Max Factor. and Max Factor doesn't have coordinating concealer, blush and bronzer like True Match does.Which foundation should I get? L'oreal true match or max factor liquid foundation?
I think of those two, get loreal - their true match foundation has a pretty good coverage and the colour range is so good, you can definitely find one that really matches your skin so you don't look like orange-face, or ghost face. But, honestly, it's better to cover blemishes with a concealer rather than piling on a lot of foundation. It will look more natural if you use less foundation, and then dab a little concealer over the foundation just on the blemishes. Loreal also makes a few good concealers.
L'oreal definitely because it's a lot heavier than max factor makeup in general, especially True Match. I'd say get the mineral one though because it's natural, good for your skin, still has heavy coverage if you choose and stays on all day! X
I have L'oreal true match and I think its amazing, I dont wear it heavy because I detest that look but it looks lovely all the same :) I dont wear Max Factor makeup and have never heard it well recommended, so I go with L'oreal mostly.
Personally I would say L'oreal True Match.
I always use it, I find it blends really well, especially when used with moisturiser.
True match..I love it! also has very good coverage and looks natural, the other one is too liquidy and not great coverage
Hope that helps
Mineral makeup covers belmishes very well, and you only need to use the powder.
I like true match, i always seem to go back to it.lipstick

Does Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation really work?
I'm an african american and i have oily skin. Does it provide really good coverage? And does it last long enough for school? (About 7-8 hours?)Does Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation really work?
I think it totally works. I'm currently using it in 240, and I'm using the formula that's especially for oily skin. I found that it helped control my shine, really well and it does last. Another plus is the SPF it has. =] Hope I helped!Does Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation really work?
yup :] its similar to macs foundation and thats really really good :P it provides medium-full coverage and last long
Yes it's really good like the best in drugstores. If only it matched my skin color.

Is it OK to mix my mineral power powder (Maybellin) with oil free moisturizer to make a liquid foundation?
If the mineral powder contains bismuth oxychloride, I wouldn't. It's known to cause cystic acne and irritate skin so certainly, you wouldn't want that absorbed by your skin. Honestly, as a makeup artist and in the retail business for cosmetics and skin care, I wouldn't do it if it was my only option and here's why. I wouldn't want to mix something that is meant to be absorbed by my skin with something that is meant to be a topical cover. Just because it's mineral makeup doesn't always mean it's good for your skin. In my humble opinion, keep them separate. Is it OK to mix my mineral power powder (Maybellin) with oil free moisturizer to make a liquid foundation?
it should be fine its like using a tinted moisturizer. Is it OK to mix my mineral power powder (Maybellin) with oil free moisturizer to make a liquid foundation?
i think youre better off just putting on the lotion first...i think it might make it cakey otherwise
that sounds like it might work...
why not try? :]

Is powder or liquid foundation better?
I have been using both for about a year. Yes, both at the same time. It makes me look so cake faced though. I want to start using just one. In your opinion, what do you think works better for cover up?Is powder or liquid foundation better?
If you have acne scars, then I would say use the liquid foundation. It helps a lot more than the powder foundation. But from what I know, after you use liquid foundation on your face, your supposed to use a powder to keep the liquid one in place. :]Is powder or liquid foundation better?
I used Cover Girl or Lancome for years but now there are hundreds of choices.
There are many foundations that give cover without looking like a theater performer. I would never wear powder on my dry skin.
Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Liquid Makeup $14.49
-Sheer, erases redness and good for sensitive skin
L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable $10.99
-Good for coverage especially for the over 40
Maybelline Mineral Powder Natural Perfecting Foundation $9.49
Light, like wearing nothing at all which may be too sheer for you
If you are trying to cover up acne or acne scars liquid works waaayy better if you are trying to cover up acne with powder it doesnt really work. The only reason you would need powder and liquid is becasue you need to cover up your acne and your liquid is to light but your powder darkens it to match your skin...ive done that!!
if you've been using both then i would suggest a cream foundation. but if you have a generally even skin tone to begin with then use powder. but if you have some blemishes and things of the such then use liquid, or use liquid just to cover us the blemishes and use powder for the rest of your face.
i love the liquid foundation, but the one that matches all skin colours, bcause i'm quite pale and have a few freckles so its normally hard too find one that works, and that does :)
xx
try elizabeth arden cream foundation its really good !!its in a compact with a sponge and its really easy to put on , u use the sponge dry if you want it thicker and wet if you want it thinner !!
I would just use a powder. Powder is less clogging to your pores. Hope this helps.
Having used both, I prefer powder.
Powder will have less effect on your skin over the years
just use the powder one.
i think it covers better.

How do i apply my liquid foundation?
how should i apply my liquid foundation to make my skin look very good and even. I need to cover some blemishes and redness on my face too. i just want to know how to apply it like a pro i guess so it will cover my imperfections really well. Some tips and help please! How do i apply my liquid foundation?
Wash your face very well.
Then, place a dot of foundation on your nose, cheeks, forehead, and chin.
Use a foundation sponge and blend from the nose to the outside of the fase! :)How do i apply my liquid foundation?
I would ust listen to all the anwsers above mine, they're very good. But i do have just one tip for you: When applying foundation, never use your fingers. The oils in your hands can re-create and change the color of the foundation. Have you ever applied your foundation with your fingers, and minutes later you had lines?(Or it changed into an icky color?) Well, that's probably why..
Use a sponge wedge and get it damp first. Dab the foundation evenly around your eyes, nose and mouth, then blend like crazy till it's all even.
For pimples and red spots, apply a spot concealer AFTER you apply the foundation. Otherwise the sponge will wipe it off.
the cleanist most effective way is a foundation brush, mine is from MAC [they make knock off ones at target] but it makesit so you use less and so its even all over and it doesnt get all over your hands.
use a makeup sponge
or a foundation brush
both work fairly well (:

i have semi-oily skin and i always bring clean and clear oil absorbing sheets everywhere and use them constantly bc im always like scared my face is going to look so oily and gross...anyway last night i went to CVS and bought cover girls clean makeup oil control liquid foundation..im just wondering if anyone knows if it actually works?
i just put some on and it seems to have worked but will it last like the whole school day? should i bring some oil absorbing sheets in case?Oil control liquid foundation- does it work?
it should work, but the trick is to lightly apply a powder over the liquid once the liquid has absorbed. and you can apply a small amount(so that you dont make your face ghostly.lol) of baby powder before applying any foundation as well AND MAKE SURE YOU ARE DABBING THESE PRODUCTS ON AND AROUND THE DESIRED AREAS, NOT RUBBIN THEM IN(which will create lines, smears and other unwanted effects shortly after you apply it)...Oil control liquid foundation- does it work?
hmm i've been looking around for some oil control lotion but have had no luck finding it yet. maybe i'll check out the CG foundation you found.
yes, bring some sheets just in case.

In your opinion, what is the best drugstore liquid foundation?
And please explain why you believe it's the best.
Thank you :)In your opinion, what is the best drugstore liquid foundation?
Rimmel Lasting Finish.
It's cheap, has good coverage, lasts all day, doesn't go patchy and doesn't cause spots and blemishes.
I love it :)In your opinion, what is the best drugstore liquid foundation?
i think the best is loreal =]
i use it and it looks great ...ur skin looks really nice and natural u cant even tell u wearing makeup... ive gotten alot of compliments on my skin when im wearing loreal
also if u use the loreal blush it looks even better =]
Almay Smart shade smart balance foundation is definitely the best it keeps you oily and dry areas of skin balanced all day and it starts off white and blends perfectly to match you skin tone.
Foundation is so harsh! I love tinted moisturizer! It's the same thing, but a lot lighter and more natural.
My favorite is Physicians Formula Organic Wear Tinted Moisturizer.
It's soft, blendable and awesome!
she does awesome reviews! :)

I actually prefer Maybeline Mousse foundation. It's really light, it blends great and a little goes a long way so it will last a long time.
I think Cover girl has the best foundations. I use the liquid kind. It's very light and its whipped. It doesn't create blemishes or spots. Well priced for what you get.
LO'real True Match. You can get your perfect color match, it blends out amazingly, and the coverage is super buildable. I don't even need concealer with it.

Does powder foundation come off easily? How about when used to fix up a liquid foundation?
yes , with a little soap and water you're fine :)Does powder foundation come off easily? How about when used to fix up a liquid foundation?
i dont like using only powder foundation...i usually use liquid foundation and then dust on (with a brush) a light layer of powder. If you do want to use only the powder it may last longer if you prime your face with an oil free moisturizer and right after dust on how ever much powder you need.

Which do you prefer mineral powder foundation or liquid foundation?
I'm trying to choose between Bare Escentuals mineral foundation and Revlon ColorStay oil free SPF 6 foundation...And I was just curious what's more popular, liquid or mineral powder?Which do you prefer mineral powder foundation or liquid foundation?
Try them both and see how you feel.Which do you prefer mineral powder foundation or liquid foundation?
Mineral foundation is definitely more popular. I've tried both, and they both have their ups and downs. Mineral foundation is messy and annoying to apply, but can offer really great coverage and blends well, so you never get that foundation line. You can usually even get away with wearing a shade too dark without it looking fake. Liquid foundation is quick to apply, and can offer sheer to medium coverage, but if you get even the slightest color off it'll look fake. I would recommend going to www.makeupalley.com and checking out reviews on both products. It helps out a lot, because you can read through what other people think before you buy the product. It's definitely helped me a lot.
I use Bare Minerals and it's the only foundation that doesn't break me out. Mineral foundations are becoming more and more popular but most are pretty pricey. Maybelline came out with a line called Mineral Power which I've tried and it's pretty nice - they have both powder and liquid foundations. If I were you, I would check their line out if you don't want to pay $25 for a Bare Minerals foundation. I haven't tried the Revlon foundation so I can't give you any help there. Good luck!
Right now mineral powders are all the rage. Personally, I prefer liquid foundations over mineral foundations. Mineral powders are not very compatible with my dry skin- they tend to work better on people with oilier skin. Also, my skin needs more coverage than mineral foundations can provide so more often than not, I use my liquid foundation.
I love revlon liquid makeup it lasts all day wont wear off and looks good. I dont really like the mineral powder as i find it wears off quickly and doesnt give me that even coverage. I always put on revlon liquid foundation with the revoln powder over top which helps prevent the liquid makeup lines
Have you tried both? What looks best on your?
I'm still using the Cover Girl line of foundation since back in the 60's! I think the ';Bare Minerals'; stuff sounds great, but haven't sent in my order!
Let's try it together!
I like liquid foundation better.
Mineral, definitely.
Anything with SPF is good.

What's the best liquid foundation and concealer?
i want a foundation and a concealer that doesn't sweat off and last all day...nothing cakey or sticky...i need one that covers up blemishes well and doesn't make shine in the t-zone...give the exact brand name and type
thanks everyone:)What's the best liquid foundation and concealer?
i don't knowWhat's the best liquid foundation and concealer?
well i don't know the exact name of it but its Sephora Brand makeup. Its on a stick with a brush at the end and the concealer comes out of the brush. It works wonders! For years I was wearing foundation and concealer than made my face look a different color...even a little reddish. Which I HATE! So i found this sephora concealer in YELLOW. I know it sounds weird wearing yellow concealer but once you blend it in it takes all the red out of your skin and makes you glow! I HIGHLY recommend it! They are pretty cheap too. I think $12.
I love my liquid Covergirl Clean Collection foundation, and they have 3 different types: regular, oil free, and fragrance free. I think it works great, and I use it to cover everything up, including blemishes. I think they also make great concealer but I only wear foundation. Good luck.
If youre looking for a drugstore brand, deffiantely try Revlon's Colorstay foundation. Its the perfect Mac Fix Fluid dupe, and gives great coverage.
A highend brand is Smashbox, and their foundation is great.

What is a good liquid foundation for dry/sensitive skin?
something that you can find in drugstores? (CVS, walmart, target)What is a good liquid foundation for dry/sensitive skin?
try covergirl aquasmooth, it's awesome! it's kinda a solid but turns into liquid and feels like a liquid. What is a good liquid foundation for dry/sensitive skin?
I suggest not to use liquid foundation because it makes dry/sensitive people's skin look caky (trust me, I have dry and SUPER sensitive skin!!) Just use lots of moisturizer and maybe a primer and you can get away with just powder foundation!! P.S. I recommend all Bare Escentuals products!! They are GREAT!!!
Cover Girl Clean Make-up
none it clogs pores use physican formula

What do you think of covergirl TRUBLEND liquid foundation?
does it make your skin oily? What do you think of covergirl TRUBLEND liquid foundation?
I have naturally really oily skin and it doesn't make my skin oily...it even kinda helps. I just normally use it as a concealer though, but only because I don't normally have time to blend it in properly. When I'm going to church or somewhere nice like that I use it for my whole face when I'm not running late (which I normally am lol)What do you think of covergirl TRUBLEND liquid foundation?
It's not really tru blend... Honestly it didn't work for me so yah

I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?
I am goin back to school soon and I was thinking should i get a studio fix compact too for travel or even on bz days, just a compact will do rather than liquid n loose powder? Or am I wasting money and should just use them till its finished?I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?
same as me! I use studio fix liquid and mineralize powder, I think the compact is good because it's handy and portable, but the finish with the liquid and powder is better. I would use up what you've got (no point wasting such great make up or money) then maybe try the compact. If you take your time putting it on in the morning it should stay all day I have a MAC studio fix liquid foundation and mineralize loose powder. Should I get the studio fix compact?
your wasting your money wait til you finshish the product and I have the compact I think you should too the loose can get messy and get everywhere.
Studio Fix is SO FRIGGIN AMAZING!!!!
you are NOT in any way wasting money on the compact
DO IT

why not..you can never have too much make...get the compact for school..and keep the other at home

What do u perfer powder or liquid foundation?
what do u guys perfer..
powder of lquid foundation.. i like powder cuz it doesnt make u look like a hoe, doesnt cake, and lets your skin breathe..
recommend any good powder foundation or liquid foundation plz! What do u perfer powder or liquid foundation?
I use nothing in the winter when my skin is dry and powder in the summer when it is oily. I really like Mary-kay, but the loose powder, not the compact. With powder, it is less likely to stain clothing or gunk in the hairline or wrinkles (I have a few around my eyes). It does not need to be an absolute perfect match to your skin color. It feels lighter and not so hot or sticky in the summer.
I don't think if liquid foundation is done right it would make one look like a ho. It needs to be the right shade and blended appropriately. That being said, for my skin, I find it hard to find one that stays on, does not come off on clothing, is the right color, does not feel heavy, etc...
Powder does not cover flaws as nicely if you are taking pictures. I think a good alternative for photographs is liquid powder. It is more like a cream than a liquid, but it dries light like a powder.
considerations need to be made for different skin types. What do u perfer powder or liquid foundation?
Yeah i prefer powder too. I used to always wear liquid but i've come to my sences now =) and i hate seeing that makup line on girls' necks.
I use Maybelline or covergirl powders.
If you want more coverage i would suggest just using a concealer where you need it and powder on top.
I prefer powder because it lets your face breathe and isn't too obvious that you are wearing it, but does it's job.
I would recommend any leading make up brand powder, and if too expensive even a simple one like nivea or loreal is great.
I always wore powder and hated liquid foundation but I tried my mom's once and I loved it. It is Revlon Softflex and it looks very natural and it doesn't cake up like some do. It made my skin look so clear and flawless but not in a bad way
i like powder better because my skin is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo oily[literally, its disgusting] and liquid just makes it appear shinier.
i like the mineral stuff, i think?
I agree, powder foundation is good. but sometimes a good quality liquid foundation can look nice too.
powder definitely. Liquids don't sit well on oily skins and they tend to melt after a few hours.
I have been using artistry flawless coverage foundation in sand.
I like those mousse foundations I find them perfect and completly blendable. If you find the right shade, it won't look skanky.
the mineral foundation is pretty good
try the loreal bare minerals
Maybellines dream matte mousse. PERFECTION!

okay, i like powder.
liquid is just too cakey.

NEITHER.

its SOO good.

Will liquid foundation break you out?
I've been wanting to try the NARS oil free foundation. I had just bought a powder though but I'm worried that it doesn't stay long enough. Will NARS oil free foundation or liquid foundations in general break me out? I have a combination of oily and dry skin. Sometimes when I put on powder parts are flaky and dry and sometimes it isn't.
I'm considering buying the NARS primer to use with my powder. Will just using a primer underneath your powder make it last long? Will liquid foundation break you out?
well ,
oil-free foundations are better cuz its less likely that you'll break ouy.
if your face gets oily cuz of all the oil in all the other foundations, then ofcoarse ur gonna break out. Will liquid foundation break you out?
get an anti - allergenic one like clinique if you have sensitive skin
you won't break out - but you could if you use your
finger to apply the foundation. the oil on your finger
will get on your face and in your pores which will
cause you to break out or get a pimple here and
there. so if you use liquid foundation use a q-tip
or a sponge (a special makeup applier) (=
Maybe you could have both a liquid and powder foundation, and use whatever is appropriate for you skin each day. Powder is better, as it clogs your pores less, however if it flakes you might want to moisturize or prime your face before applying.
With liquid foundation, although the one you wish to buy is oil free, I find I get a more oily complexion and have to use powder to set it and to achieve a more matte look.
With powder foundation, it looks quite matte to begin with, so you might want to put some cream on your face to get a look between too oily and very matte.
Hope this helps :)

What is the best liquid foundation?
Because my skin is prone to dryness, I really can't use any kind of powder foundation. What is the best liquid foundation brand that isn't too oily, and will blend smoothly without settling into creases and looking ';overdone'; and caked on?
Right now, I am using Mary Kay full coverage creme foundation, and it is okay, but I'm wanting to look into something new when I switch to my summer shade. What is the best liquid foundation?
I was going to say Mary Kay.
but I guess try going with MAC.

if not then Revlon. What is the best liquid foundation?

I was going to say Mary Kay.I love that stuff.I mix two shades. In the summer I use more of the darker medium coverage shade.
I like Maybelline's Pure Makeup. It's only sheer coverage, but it's water based and you can buy it at Wal-Mart for like $5.

Is it okay to apply liquid/cream foundation with fingers?
I heard that brushes are best when it comes to applying foundation. I'm 15 and I have uneven skin with so much bumps all over my forehead. My friends suggest that I start using foundation. I want to get liquid or cream foundation cuz I think powder foundation is too drying for me but I don't want to have to buy a brush. Is it okay to use just your fingers? Is it okay to apply liquid/cream foundation with fingers?
yes, and it gives the most natural look too.
Wash hands b4 to rid them of xcess oil and make sure to apply in a downward stroke to smooth any hairs that are on your face. Also your skin lays in layers much like shingles on a house (if you look microscopically) so when you go in a downward motion it smooths them down and helps even out the skin.
Cream foundation is best to use if your skin is dry and you need full coverage. It is also easier to apply w/ a sponge and usually comes with one, but needs to be replaced frequently to keep bacteria from spreading, Beaing 15, a liquid would probably be best for you, especially with the warmer months coming. Is it okay to apply liquid/cream foundation with fingers?
fingers work...twas what i used for a long time
but there are those makeup wedges that are really great too
they are cheap and easy to find (really anywhere)
yes
I am 15 years old too.
make sure the foundation matches completely with your skin tone, so it could look even and natural.
Good luck!
you have oil on your fingers, and depending how you put it on sometimes all its doing it rubbing off what you are putting on. try using a sponge.
yes it is okay. just make sure you wash your hands before doing this so there is no bacteria or oil
Yes, I do...dab it on until it blends.
yea i use my fingers to apply foundation every day
Finger tips are ok if you:
1) Be sure YOU are the only person using it~
2) Wash it off EVERY night! There is an old saying that I have always believed in~ '; Every night you go to bed with your makeup on...ages your skin four days~';
3) Be sure your hands are VERY clean each time, HOWEVER~
If those ';uneven bumps'; are pimples, or acne, you don't want to be clogging your pores with cover-up makeup. There is a tinted acne medication made by Clearasil, and I am sure there are other brands, but I would stick with good brand name products.
You only get ONE FACE...Don't risk ruining it!!!
I started my daughters using good makeup, Merle Norman, when they were teens, and they, as well as myself, still use it today. We all three get compliments on our complexion. Different things are important to different people. Some people don't care about their skin, but they care about some other part of their body. It's all good! : )
I am not trying to brag, just make you aware of how important it is to take care of your face/skin, if it is important to you.
yeah
yeh just wash your hands and stuff before u do it tho
becareful about applying foundation to your bumps because they could just get worse so use somehting oil free and if anythign.. skip the foundation.. exfoliate and use acne cream and lol get bangs
Yeah, but when you use your fingers, it usually dosent spread evenly, and the oils from your fingers get onto your skin which causes even more breakouts.
One thing i would suggest (which i use) is round or triangle sponges. its only 3 or 4 dollars for like a pack of 10! you should onnly keep one sponge for like a week if you use it everyday.
hope i helped! :)
make-up sponges are best
yes, and it gives the most natural look too.
