When i apply liquid foundation my face looks blotchy and dirty?

its the right tone and stuffWhen i apply liquid foundation my face looks blotchy and dirty?
Many people have this problem. Cleanse and exfoliate your face well before use. Then spread the foundation evenly over your skin. Don't put it on to thickly as sometimes that can result in blotchines and that dirty colour. After putting on the foundation put a natural powder on top to help the foundation to set. You may also find some bronzer helps too.

Personally however i would just stay away from liquid foundation. I have the same problems with it and tbh i find it much simpler just to use a non-liquid foundation. I use Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse. Its really soft and looks natural on my skin.

hope this helps :]When i apply liquid foundation my face looks blotchy and dirty?
are you sure its the right tone? it might make your face look dirty if its too dark. Also its probably going on blotchy because you have dry skin on your face, make sure you exfoliate and use moisturiser 10 minutes before you put the foundation on so it goes on more smoothly. Try a foundation brush aswell instead of using your fingers it looks more even. If that still doesnt work I'd suggest using a different type of foundation (like mousse, cream to powder, etc.) as it probably isnt good for your skin type.
make sure your cleaning your face and you may want to try a scrub a couple times a week do get rid of any dead skin cells that could be causing the foundation to cling to certain areas. also MOISTURIZE if you dont already. moisturizing will smooth out and soften your skin leaving it with a perfectly smooth canvas to put the foundation on. so it'll glide on and not stick in one place causing it to be darker there than everywhere else. hope this helpd!!
Liquid foundation is bad because it sinks in cos its liquid and your skin always needs to be hydrated so it absorbs it creating a nasty effect, people say you mineral and powder etc but I dont think that gives great coverage, Dream matte mouse is good and cheap for everday make up!
Make sure your entire face is washed and all clean before you apply it. Any excess oil will cause liquid foundation to do that.

And also, use primer all over your face before applying the foundation.

It will prevent that bad look %26amp; keep your face fresh-looking all day long.
i used to have the same problem

i use bare minerals foundation now. It is sooooo good. It hides all belmishes and discoloration yet u cant even tell u are wearing makeup.

Its also super good for ur skin, and its like SPF 15 or something.

u can get it on amazon for $25 http://www.amazon.com/Bare-Escentuals-ba鈥?/a>
i get the same problem,

probably best to use a mineral powder or a mousse style one.

it's slightly thicker than a liquid and so gives a more even coverage.

just make sure you wash your hands and face before you apply. this will ensure this is not 'old dirt'

:D
hmmm...what are you using? it sounds like the foundation you're using is the wrong type for your skin type

I recommend changing products, foundation should make your face looks unblotchy and especially not dirty.
try mixing your foundation with your favourite moisturiser in equal parts on the back of your hand, then apply it. it should sink in fast and be way more even.

it works for me !

also a good foundation brush works wonders.
It's because you're not cleaning your skin properly.

You need a

- facial scrub or exfoliater

- cleanser

- toner

- moisturiser

I suggest Neutrogena.
well first of all, its better to use powdered foundation but it doesnt cover as good. so if u using liquid, (or any other makeup) put on moisturizer and then put on the makeup
Doesn't mean its right for your skin

You might need to try different brands

or something other then a liquid foundation.
Is it a cheeper brand? Try a more expensive one. They work better for me

go to macys and ask any makeup consultant whats right for you a liquid one or mouse or cream or if your face is too oily than just a little pressed powder they'll tell you the right thing .
Don't use liquid, use mineral loose powder makeup.

Try Bare Basics or Rejuva.
The foundation doesn't agree with your skin.

Easiest thing t do would be.......to stop.

Just buy a different brand
how would we know...
