Hope that helps....I have an oily face...what sort of liquid foundation/powder should i use?
I would suggest getting the oiliness under control first wit a good skincare regimen. It is key in beginning to control the oil in your skin.
I have had great luck with kms mineral essentials. It has controlled oil better for me than the other brands I have tried. I don't impress easily, but this stuff is amazing. My makeup stays on until I take it off late in the evening.
Have you ever hear of Artistry庐? it's the best selling internet makeup and it's warranted or your money back within 180 days. i'll give you the link so you can compare the brands. its

Since you have oily skin, I would recommend forgetting about wearing ANY type of liquid foundation. Liquid will just make your face even more oily, and I find that most people don't look as natural when they wear liquid as they do when they wear a powder foundation. The type of powder foundation that I use is call MAC studio fix http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a> . It gives great coverage, and will take away any shine on your face that is cause by your oily skin. I have also found that it cleared my skin up as opposed to what most foundations do which is make you break out. It also lasts all day, I rarely have to do touch ups. Hope this helps!
well dont use any compacted foundation, oil is used to keep it compact, always use a loose powder and NEVER a liguid cover up. I love bare minerals, try Larenim bare minerals, amazing stuff and it will even clean out your pores without xpanding them
I joke with all my friends that on a hot day you could slap a slice of potato on my cheek and have a chip in no time!
I have ALWAYS been an oil slick. About two years ago, I went to the Clinique counter and began their 3-step skin care system. I went there b/c as a teen my Dr recommended their face soap to me (I had bad acne).
Oh, I'm now in my 30's BTW.
It doesn't matter what type foundation/powder you use - if you don't balance your skin, it will always dissolve within a couple of hours.
I use the Clinique bar soap for oily skin, follow with the #4 clarifying liquid and then Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - 2 times per day. I also use their Super Fit foundation and set it with loose powder.
Seriously - it has done amazing things for my skin.
How do I get liquid foundation out of my hair?

When applying liquid foundation w/ a sponge, is it better to wet the sponge?
Yes, this allows the makeup to go on alot smoother and more natural . It wont leave you with any lines or anything like that .
i suggest you wet your sponge from now on When applying liquid foundation w/ a sponge, is it better to wet the sponge?
For a natural light application, you can wet your sponge.
Usually you don't need to, as the sponge is absorbing alll the foundation. So therefore it can give you the same result, but a little thicker. Using a foundation brush, gives a thicker application and better coverage, but its better to use sponge after to blend it out and smooth it out. When applying liquid foundation w/ a sponge, is it better to wet the sponge?
Having the sponge wet may help it to spread more thinly, and more evenly. But I would say to use a brush instead, since sponges are wasteful in terms of it retaining the foundation, they can only be used once, and they soak facial oils up, which actually isn`t good, since soaking up too many of those will cause your skin to get dryer.
i would think that if you wet the sponge your face would look greasier, ps ive tried this. instead of using a sponge period i found the brush of my dreams!!!! wet sponge=baddd not good for greasy skiinnnn

Well, all I know is that; wetting the sponge makes the color of your foundation lighter.
And it has a high chance of making your foundation fade and/or run.
But obviously, you don't wet the sponge completely. Just have it a little moist is fine.
Don't use a sponge. It absorbs and wastes the makup. Use a Foundation Brush or your fingers.
no-
it makes the foundation run
but: make sure you swap sponges often to make sure they are clean
no it will make the foundation runny and won't last.
yeah,
i go over w/ a damp sponge after :]

Do u have to wear mineral powder over liquid foundation?
i have like moderate acne and oily t-zone.
i want to use jane mineral powder... i heard its really good. i want my acne and redness covered.. so would i need to buy a liquid foundation too or can i just wear my daily moisturizer and then sweep the mineral powder and blush?
thank-you!!Do u have to wear mineral powder over liquid foundation?
the liquid foundation covers redness better, I find and the mineral powder helps the liquid stay in place longer.
This is what personally works for me, every face is different, I think you should use a liquid foundation or some sort of concealer type pen to help with the redness. Also make sure you wash all your makeup off at night.Do u have to wear mineral powder over liquid foundation?
Apply a concealer on the red or darkened areas of your skin and then apply an all over mineral foundation. It'll be more natural and won't feel caked on. The answer to your question would be no. You do not HAVE to wear mineral makeup over your foundation. Applying mineral powder over your liquid foundation just finishes the look, kicks back that glossy finish, and makes you look a little more natural. If you like the shiny, been to the beach look, then go with it. I use Sheer Cover makeup and it works good but I prefer the Bare Mineral makeup. Bare Minerals makes a great foundation for wearing alone. They also offer finishing powders with SPF 15 in them. It's a bit expensive but sure beats paying the price for testing foundations. You just brush on the mineral foundation and apply a small amount of finishing powder. Your done. They also offer blushes and mineral eye shadows. I've also tried the AVON brand of mineral makeup. They were great too and are cheap on the price. I'd suggest looking at what they have to offer. I like their mineral bronzer.
You dont have to wear Mineral powder over your foundation.
I do, but thats just me. If you have really Oily skin, then i would before you put on your makeup try washing your face in cold water, pat dry, and then apply, do Not put lotion on your face before your makeup, and to help with your acne, try using a Oil free foundation, lightly apply and then you can go over your face with mineral powder.
i've tried a couple of minerals.. it doesn't cover redness much. I know bare minerals does but I've tried 3 other drug store brands, no.
I wear liquid and powder over it. It helps with the shine and it makes the coverage last longer.
Minerals isn't really good for covering up redness.
If you want better coverage I would still use a liquid foundation over the spots you want covered the most. Then use the mineral powder over it. I love the new mineral products that are coming out now. Good luck!
bare minerals will take care of everything!colon cleansing

Does any one know a really good liquid foundation?!?!?
I have spent so much money on different foundation, even expensive ones but they never seem to work. I hate walking out of the house knowing I look horrible. Can some1 please help me out by telling me a name or some tips?? thanks!Does any one know a really good liquid foundation?!?!?
Here are my favorites. I love them because they don't rub off on clothes, they make pores look smaller, and they last even if I sweat or workout. You don't need an expensive foundation. The ones below work just as well as a $40.00 foundation. Drugstore products are getting better and better.
1. L'Oreal Infallible
2. Rimmel Lasting Finish
3. Revlon ColorStay
4. Rimmel Cool Matte Mousse
For the best application, use a foundation brush to put on your foundation. Put the foundation on the back of your hand and dab both sides of the bristles into the makeup. Brush the foundation from the center of your face outward, and blend, blend, blend. You will get beautiful, perfect coverage every time, and you won't ever have to touch your face. My favorite foundation brush is the one by Clinique, but you can buy a decent one at the drugstore too.Does any one know a really good liquid foundation?!?!?
i use Chanel Teint Naturel [$57] you only need a little bit, goes on like silk, doesn't look like you're wearing makeup, it covers so well you don't even need powder!
http://www.macys.com/catalog/product/ind鈥?/a>
definately try to get this if you can, i have sensitive, acne-prone, oily skin, with acne scars and this works like perfection for me :] worth the price!
i would suggest either:
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse or
Rimmel Cool Matte mousse foundation
they are lightweight and dont feel or look caked on.
they can get a tad bit messy on the fingers so be sure to wash your hands immediately after applying the makeup.
I have really bad Acne and I use a liquid make-up that helps hide the redness it's called: Maybelline Great Wear Make-up. My color is True Beige but, it depends on your normal skin tone. Hope I help! =)
anything from MAC. covers everything and stays on all day.

What's the best compact (not liquid) foundation for oily skin that gives great coverage?
I use cover girl. It's a powder foundation, which covers very well with no make-up lines. Make sure you clean your face well, and apply moisturizer prior to putting on the foundation. When it drys, then put the powder foundation on, and you'll be radiant! What's the best compact (not liquid) foundation for oily skin that gives great coverage?
